Description

Because many forms of bench rest competition do not allow one-piece rests, and some shooters prefer a two-piece set up, we make a very fine and feature laden front rest, the Model 1,200.

Starting at the bottom, each of its three legs rests on a steel point that has a lockable adjustment for height, so that the rest can be accurately leveled using the bullseye level that is built into the rear leg.

The bag height adjustment has two stages, with the primarily one being of the sliding sleeve type, with its own locking knob, and within that the usual threaded rod and wheel. The Wheel is five inches in diameter with a square notched edge, and sits on a roller thrust bearing. This secondary height adjustment has its own conveniently located locking knob.

The bag holder incorporates a unique windage adjustment that allows the its top half to be easily switched out so that multiple bags can be used on the same rest with little delay (a feature shared with the Model 1,000 LP). The bag side tension adjustments are the same as the one-piece rests.

Because they are so commonly used in competition, this rest has a very well designed, highly adjustable for-end stop (optional on some of the other rests). Sturdier than the usual single bar designs, its dual bars provide more strength and stability than single rod designs, and unlike some of the cheaper and less well thought out designs, the stop is adjustable for height, so that it can quickly be adjusted for use with a wide variety of stock designs.

Good service. I got the rest in just a few days. The rest works as well as I hoped it would. It is very stable and doesn’t move once set up and leveled. Fine adjustments are easily made and it holds settings shot after shot. Excellant craftmanship and materials. The only problem I encountered was one of the leveling lock collars was too tight to loosen by hand. I had to use a channel lock plier to loosen it. I’m really happy with the rest. It’ll prolly be the last one I ever have to buy. Wally called me twice just to see how it was working. Good product and great service. Couldn’t ask for more

I had the opportunity to speak to Wally prior to purchasing my Model 1200 rest and you could hear the pride in his voice as he described the rest and all its features to me and rightly so. The quality of the rest is exceptional. The fit and finish is a testament to the pride Wally has in his products. In my 26 years in the Navy, I wish every piece of equipment I had was this well made.

Very precision. Everything about this rest is built with precision. Made to last a lifetime. If the purchaser does not get good groups when using this rest – it is certainly no the fault of the rest.

My only reservation is giving this review is that too many people will find out about this rest.Nothing comes close and we have tested a wide assortment. Workmanship is impeccable, the design is intelligent and the quality of materials is top notch. You can’t ask for better than that. If there’s one thing you want to achieve in your quest for higher scores, this rest is a great first step.

The Model 1200 Rifle Rest is an excellent device with excellent design, and it’s easy to operate. At my first ever Stars & Bars Long Range Match, using this rest, I won the regional championship at 1000 yards. I also set the national record with 200/200 points (15 X’s). I also set the Sniper Academy record with an aggregate score of 599/600.

I highly recommend this rifle rest. In my record setting matches, I shot against two different $3000 rifle rests, and this Model 1200 is obviously just as good, if not better than the others.

With the new pads Wally made for long extensions, this rest is easy to adjust in even the roughest terrain.

I recommend this rest for any shooter – professional or amateur.

I purchased a Model 2500 shooting bench and Model 1200 rifle rest from you November 2007

I have found this shooting bench to be the best investment I have ever Made for my personal shooting range.

The rifle rest takes the biggest calibers I can throw at it, and it is almost infenitely adjustable so mocro adjustments can be made at ease to sight in new weapons/scopes.

I use both regularly for both rifle and pistol target practice, sighting in and trap shooting The weight of the combined table top and bench is just right if you need to move it to different locations and yet is perfectly stable when using to sight in large caliber weapons. No worries that it is going to collapse under my 250 lb frame

The feature I like the most is the rotating table top/seat arrangement. All of my down range targets are immediately in the line of sight with a slight push of one of my legs that are baced on the table legs The ability of the table top to tilt downward in the front is also extremely helpful as my range is slightly downhill for approx. 250 yards before rising back up

Thanks for developing this quality product

Bought the 1200 rest about a year ago.The quality of the rest is exceptional. It is rock solid. I shoot .22 competition at 100 yards and after purchasing the 1200 rest i was the first shooter ever to get a perfect score of all 40 shots in the X ring, which is the size of a nickel at 100 yards. Had the opportunity to meet Wally in watertown. He’s a great person and takes pride in his product.

Well, lets just say I checked out many rifle rests, before hearing of this one on the internet. I looked at it on the company’s website and talked with the owner Wally. Heck of a nice guy and I ended up purchasing the Model 1200. Great rest, solid, zero problems and operates so smoothly. Wally took his time to explain over the phone how it operates and even followed up after the sale to make sure I was pleased! Who does that nowadays? Enuf said.
