I test a lot of rifles for accuracy while doing what I do. When someone clicks on a rifle review on Gunblast.com, they are not reading to see how well.

I shoot a lot of Dangerous Game Safari ammunition and this rest really works well. The design and fit and finish are excellent. Thanks for a job well done.

I purchased the 1000 gun rest after calling and talking to Wally, I am a mobility impaired long range hunter and shooter, after being in a head on collision at 85mph it left me with a fractured neck in four places and other problems. I can no longer hold my rifle and look through my scope and take any recoil at all,, last year while on a Elk hunt I shoot my 300 win mag, after the first shoot I new I was in trouble but like most of us when shooting at Elk we forgo any thing to make the shot. I missed him the first shot trying to make a head shoot, so I took my second shoot and did in fact make the kill–head shoot– however I almost dropped my rifle because of the neck impact my hands were useless, I had to wait 20 minuets to recover and be able to move, with that said I bought the 1000 rifle rest, after shooting off the 1000 the first time at the range I sold my Caldwell Lead Sled. I half to use a scope camera so I can look at my cross hairs like a normal person and with the 1000 rifle rest I can now shoot and enjoy what I love to do, shoot and hunt. My partner Bill and I have been using the 1000 at the range and it is truly a amazing gun rest I fired 20 rounds through my 300 WM and had no affect on my neck and the shooting scores were unbelievable– the recoil is just not there so one can work on shoot placement and concentrate on what you did right or wrong.. I help design and build products to help the Mobility Impaired shooter and yes I have already talked to people in the same boat that I am. Thank You Wally for all your help, and being our friend.

A great attachment. This keeps you from having to make a lot of adjustment after each shot. Of course if you are shooting a big caliber it also reduces the felt recoil. The polymer used to absorb the shock is amazing. It compresses about 70% reducing shock to your expensive scope and shoulder. I’m happy I spent the money.

This is bar far the best available rifle rest and recoil pad. I have used many other devices over the years and have found the TargetShooting equipment to be the top in class and function, and my improved shooting accuracy and consistency support those conclusions. Expensive? Yes. But the design and engineering is superb and the construction will last seemingly forever. What price do you place on knowing what your rifle and/or load can do? Every rifle and every load.

For several months I have enjoyed using the 1000 LP Rifle Rest with their recoil pad attachment. Unlike the folks who shoot the 458 magnum I’m not worried about the amount of recoil as I shoot rifles ranging from 22 LR up to the 22-250 none of which have punishing recoil. My primary interest is target shooting and I use this rest to help hold the rifle as still as possible for the best possible accuracy and this product helps me do this without damaging the firearm or optics. The recoil attachment helps keep the rifle in place however, the Sorbathane recoil pads allows it to move rearward absorbing shock without damaging my shoulder or the rifle and scope. Since I began using the 1000 LP my accuracy has improved significantly. Before using the 1000 LP my group size (5 shots per group) with my 22-250 has gone from 1 inch at 100 yards down to as low as a ½ inch. With my .223 I went from 1 inch down to as low as 3/8. No, I don’t do this all the time but the improvement has been pretty consistent and I believe that the 1000 LP has made the difference. The 1000 LP is a beautiful piece of equipment and is made here in the United States. Everything is made with precision and is an excellent design which translates to being able to make very fine adjustments that stay where you put it until you squeeze the trigger. The only complaint I have is that the front elevation adjustment knob is difficult to reach from the rear. A long knob would be a nice improvement for an otherwise excellent piece of equipment. Fortunately, they offer a longer knob for an additional $50. Whether you’re in the market for a shooting rest for target shooting like me or you need something for sighting in your new rifle/scope combination or making sure your favorite deer rifle is ready to the up-coming season. The 1000 LP is an excellent choice and is the best money I’ve spent on sighting equipment. I only wish I’d found it before spending money on the other products. If you’re in the market for a shooting rest, buy one of these, you’ll be happy you did. I’d like to mention that the folks at Target Shooting Inc are really nice and are truly interested in making sure you are happy with their product. Be sure to call them ahead of time to tell them about your shooting needs to ensure you’re happy with your rest. It’s hard to imagine that anyone would be unhappy. This is really important to mention. Since I started using this rest I’ve enjoyed shooting so much more than before. I love this thing.

By adding this pad I was able to shoot 300 Weatherby Mags for hours with no recoil problems to my arm or accuracy i.e. 1.5″-2″ at 200 yds.

Used this for the first time the other day at the range. Shot my 450 Rigby 32 times while developing loads and never had a problem. I have a lead sled as well but there is no comparison! Great product that is well engineered.
